I think you'd come up with with a bunch of normals, and possibly some hets.

errr, i believe you would come up with a bunch of 50% poss.het offspring
which means, theres a 50% chance that they carry the pied trait(but that doesn't mean that half of the offspring will, its just the odds). Then by breeding the female offspring back to the 100% male, you should be able to prove out if any of the offspring are het.pied.

I'm pretty sure i explained that properly. The only downfall is it will take a while to prove out the offspring, because you'll have to raise the female offspring till they reach breeding maturity. So it'll probably take a couple of years to accomplish the project - and hopefully in the first 100% het. male to Normal female breeding you'll get some female offspring, otherwise, you'll have to wait, and try again. Since you're 100% het is male, you'll need female offspring to breed back to them.

i'd say try to get an answer from someone more knowledgable on here, like KLG - i'm sure she could give you alot better answer than i just did

    Also, i forgot -

In the third round of breeding: 100% het. Male x 50% Het. Female -
It would be possible that all of the offspring appear normal, thus making them 66% het. Hopefully you could get lucky and get a dominant carrier out of the breeding, but i'd recommend trying to breed to multiple normal females in the first round, and thus upping your odds of hitting a dominant in the proving process(just due to more eggs being produced....you're giving yourself more chances)

well....you can breed two 100% hets together, and out of a 4 egg clutch the odds are as follows:
    25% chance for a homo. pied(visable morph)
    25% chance of normal
    50% chance for possible Het

Breeding loans are very common with ball pythons.
