    Is this sufficient?

Hello. My wife and I are new ball python owners and dont know a LOT about them, tho we did own a surinam red tailed boa for 3 years. I was wondering if this kit is sufficient for starting off. Its a 10g tank and shes just a hatchling. We fed her for the first time last night, frozen fuzzy (tho it was more pinky size) and she gobbled it down rather quickly. Any advice would be great. I know we need to transfer to a bigger tank eventually, but right now I just dont have the $. Thanks in advance! (After trying to post a pic, this app says I dont have permission. Its just a 10g aquarium, bowl, and log.)

I have no idea about the specifics of what your set-up is like, but there are a few items that are critical to successful keeping. If you haven't already done so, please read the following two links thoroughly and come back with any questions you have.

Welcome to the site, and congrats on your new addition!

I have mine in a 10gallon for now she's just 3 weeks old but plan to move up to a bigger setup in couple months when she is grown nicely and 10gallon is too small

A 10 gallon is just fine for a new baby. It gives them more security than a larger tank. Just do your best to follow the advice offered on the care sheet, and you will be just fine.

Balls can eat hopper mice right out of the egg. Make sure you read the care sheet that was linked and try to do everything it says.

You should really do a lot of research before acquiring a new pet so that you can take proper care of them. It's a little unsettling to hear "I got a new___, but I don't know much about them!". But ball pythons aren't super hard to care for or figure out so no harm done! Next time I'd suggest doing your homework!
    Congrats on the little one

For food, the prey item should be big enough to leave a slight lump in the snake and for a young BP, I'd feed once a week. Check out the care sheet Eric Alan posted. I'd suggest providing two hides, one on the warm and cool end of the tank, and you might want to provide one with more cover than a log... You can even use a small cardboard box or nonclear rubbermaid tub.. Pick something that is just big enough for the BP to curl up in and cut a hole large enough for it to use. They feel most comfortable when all sides are protected.

    Good luck.
