Got it earlier today and already swapped out the VE-100 for the Herpstat, I can tell already why everyone here likes them. I'm starting to think that the Thermoworks thermometer I've been using to keep an eye on things is reading a little hot. I've already seen it indicating 94 degrees when the Herpstat is only showing 91 degrees. I may get rid of it or just not rely on it as a back up. The other thing I've noticed is that my first tub is still the coolest and the middle tubs are the hottest so I'm really thinking the next thing to do is swap out the heat tape. At least that will be a hell of a lot cheaper than switching thermostats.
Any opinions on Flex watt vs THG for heat consistency across the length of the tape? I know the THG tape comes with a disclaimer that a 5% variance is possible over a run which would be as much as 5 degrees difference when set at 100. I'm within those specks so perhaps I should just chill out and not worry so much about it. LOL
    Cheers, Jeff

Probably just need to relax. No matter what tape you install you are not going to have identical numbers for each tub.

I'm glad your enjoying the Herpstat4.

    A 1 degree temp difference isn't going to make a difference. I wouldn't worry

Thanks for the reassurance, I though they would be more accurate than that but oh well I'm not loosing sleep over it so no worries.
