This is Teelo. I just picked him up a couple of weeks ago from my work (a reptile store). He is a captive bred (which is pretty rare for these little guys) Saharan Uromastyx (Uromastyx geyri). I am so happy to have him as a part of my little collection of herps. Gotta love herbivores!!! Anyway, without further ado, here s/he is:

And a picture for size comparison (to show how tiny he really is!):

Thanks for looking! I'm actually hoping it is a male, as adults they get beautiful!!

Wow, he is tiny! He looks a little different from the malis I'm used to seeing. Do they have similar temperaments? The mali uromastyx seem so laid back.

    Thanks!

Hey Mike! Man, all my animals are doing great. When did you get the Mali? I didn't know that you bought him, and I know exactly which Mali it is, too, lol. Anyway, good to hear from you; how's your collection lookin' these days? I remember you were trying to downsize, that's gotta suck.

    Talk to you later,
    Jennifer

Marla, yeah he is a tough little bugger. He's still pretty skittish, probably just because he is so young. But he's not aggressive at all (although he did nip at the very tip of my finger thinking I was giving him a treat since my nails are pink, lol!!).

LOL, a little Jen-snack for an herbivore? I'm guessing you weren't what he was hoping for. I hope you'll keep us updated with pics and progress on this guy, since he's so unusual among our collective collections.

I sure will. I know these little guys don't make it to the forums very often, so I wanted to give them some credit. I honestly don't see why they aren't more popular, I like them more than beardies only because they don't eat bugs!
