Video From a Breeder Who Didn't Quarantine...

...and thus lost most of his ball pythons. All that he managed to salvage were what was still in eggs while everything else died.

Wow. That is so cool of that guy to make that video! This kind of situation is on my mind when I think about how to grow my collection while minimizing risk.

    Thank you for sharing this.

It's a sad reminder. I was really into aquariums a couple years ago and I saw the same thing happen to a lot of people. Losing the entire tank to disease and having to start over. It has to be so hard.

It makes my heart hurt to listen to him talk about this. I wouldn't wish that fate upon my worst enemies. HUGE kudos to him for taking the time to make this video and not being ashamed to own it.

That was pretty hard to listen to. Glad he shared his story though. From the sound of it I'm not sure if quarantine would've even helped him.

It seems like if you're going to quarantine an animal, you REALLY have to make sure that you keep everything separate to the point of possibly interacting with quarantined animal on a different day than the rest of your collection. Depending on your living situation, that might be hard to pull off.

Honestly, I haven't taken quarantining seriously in the past but this video definitely changed my mind.

..."there's something bigger going on in this industry that a lot of people don't want to talk about"... What is this? I've heard a couple times of something like this. Freaking conspiracy in the snake industry? ...

Man I feel awful. Nothing he could have done. And spent so much trying to fix it.
