Nagini took her first meal for me today. She had a frozen/thawed pinky. She wanted nothing to do with it at first, so I thought I may have to get live for her. Which would have sucked, since I just ordered like 50 frozen ones.

But I didn't give up hope! I did a little pinky dancey, and she took it and dragged it into her hide. I'm so happy! My plan now is to give her a few days to digest and then maybe try a short handling session. Does that sound okay, or should I give her more time?

And another question. How often do you guys feed babies? My manual says you can feed again after they defacate (2-4 days later). Is that what you guys do? Or do you wait a week like ball pythons?

She's a reverse okeetee. I posted pics a few days ago, here is the thread.

I was going to take pics of her eating, but she was in her hide, so no-go.

Thanks for the link. I'm talking about Kathy Love's Corn Snake Manual. It doesn't really say you SHOULD feed them that often. It says you can but that you don't need to.

Okay, I was just checking if you'd found another corn book. Although Kathy's book is the corn bible!
