Just a couple new pictures pictures of Ace

With all the attention on my breeding projects, it's easy for me to forget about how pretty Ace is, so I thought I'd get him out for some shots today. Ace was one of the hatchlings from my very first clutch of eggs, which hatched in 2009. He's not really breeding material due to a birth defect that has his spine kinked near the area of the hemipenes (long story), but he's still a very pretty and unusual boy.

Well..... I'm not sure exactly lol. That's exactly what I was thinking as soon as he crawled out of the egg.
His dad seems to be a genetic granite, as nearly all of his babies get the speckling to some degree, and I would say Ace certainly fits the description of a granite, so that's what I've been calling him.

This is his dad, Bryan, and also the one that started it all for me.

I was definitely thinking their had to be some granite mixed in there because he's so speckled. Dad looks great too! Very interesting beautiful snakes you got there
