Yellowbellies Without Head Spots???
Has anyone hatched out Yellowbellies without head spots before? I'm not 100% on them being Yellowbelly, but other than the missing head spots, they look the part. Tho technically they were "supposed" to be pastels. Here is the story:
Once upon a time, back in November of 2013, I had a Normal Female that was put with a Yellowbelly male three or four times. I never saw them lock up, and decided to switch her to another male since it was early still and I hadn't pinned down solid breeding plans yet. So, from about the first week of December, this girl was paired exclusively with a Super Pastel male, and locked up EVERY time she was paired (seriously - this guy is a machine). So, fast-forward to March 23 (my birthday!), and I get my first clutch of the season. Skip to about May 20th, and my clutch of "all pastels" I was expecting has a couple of imposters in it! Now, it's obvious what happened, although it's amazing she retained from that long ago and had a dual-sired clutch. Both of the Yellowbelly sired babies (girls) look to be Yellowbellies except for one missing detail - NO HEAD SPOT WHATSOEVER. The father has the typical YB head marking. I know it's long odds that they're both YB, but they have pretty incredible flaming and speckling for normals. Anyone want to lend a hand? Yay or nay - could they be yellowbellies even without the spot? Pics are of only one girl, but they are pretty much identical. I can take more in outside light if need be.

Those are YBs alright and pretty decent at that. Don't know what to tell you about the head stamp but the rest is pure YB. Congrats on the double sired clutch.

Those are no doubt YB and very nice ones. The flames are really nice on them and there really clean looking.

Thanks guys. I am quite fond of them, and look forward to seeing what the YB father's other offspring look like in a couple weeks. It will be interesting to see if they are missing head spots too. He was also bred to a funky looking dinker female that im trying to prove out. The mother of this clutch is the normalest normal ever btw.
