    Mojave Spider Pricing

So... Met a breeder at a reptile expo here in Denver. He is selling me a 600g male Mojave Spider for $250. Looking at prices...seems like it is pretty cheap. Here's a picture, good deal or being worked over? Other than clearing rack space and its a male, any reasons its that cheap? I think it all looks legit and is a great snake, but I could just be naïve to a glaring flaw with BP's that other know.

That does sound a bit low. Did you ask about how well he's feeding? It's possible he's a picky eater.

Price is a little odd unless he needs space.
Have you researched the breeder? Unless you want to give out the name.

Despite them being gorgeous snakes, they are very easy to repproduce, he could be selling cheap for many reasons doesnt need a

    -2 gene simple male
-has a couple of them from pairing
    -needs to pay a bill

best bet if possible go personally pick up look at collection ask questions if kept well then Snatch that right up! put a pastel and go for Mojave Bumblebees!!!

Yeah I am thinking he needs to clear some space. But yeah I pick up Friday, and in a year or two, bees and Calico mixes!

Yeah he eats f/t and live... Not picky at all.
His housing is nice, and facilities are clean. No bad wobble or anything.

Price is low. But as others have said, may be good reasons. Emergency bill, needs room, has duplicates, etc.

I've had quick sales below market price for all of the reasons above whenever I needed to move a snake pronto and couldn't wait a month or more to sell it.

    Re: Mojave Spider Pricing

The price is fair and more then anything else your getting that price because he doesn't need to ship.
He could try to sell him for $300 but why when he has a local buyer, works out for both of you.

if 300 shipped or 350 shipped would be a normal price, then 250 for a personal local pickup sounds quite reasonable and possible.

good luck. i mean, it can still be that the male just wont breed or something.
