Might need to find a new home for our Normal BP
HI- This is really hard for me to come on here and say, but we might have to get rid of our
normal ball. I won't bore you with the detail as to why, and I'm having a REALLY tough time
with the idea. Its my daughters snake, but of course, I care for it more then anyone
In the couple years we've owned Medusa, I've learned far more then I ever expected
I would know in my life about snakes and have become very fond of her (we call her a "her" but she's never
been sexed, and based on 'her' small size, I suspect she is actually a He
Anyway, she's a sweet snake, eats F/T well, sheds well. I never thought I would become attached to a snake
and I've Never had to give up a pet- I take commitment to animals i "adopt" very seriously. So, thats why
I am very heavy hearted about the idea of giving her up.
My question is, can anyone suggest the best way to find a good home for her (if we find out we do in fact have to give
her up) After all i've learned, I want to make sure she goes to a home with the same amount of good care, with proper
heating, humidity, hides, food, etc.
Any tips on screening prospective new owners? is there a place on here to list snakes for sale?
Thank you!!
Lisa

Sorry to hear you have to give her up, it's always a hard decision and of course you want to find a good loving home.
The best way probably would be to ask questions at the viewing, not online/text ect as Google can be anyone's best friend. Try ask questions that someone with decent knowledge would be able to answer, also someone well suited should also ask you about her feeding( last fed, size and if feeding regularly ) and also her shedding ( last shed/clean shed ). Wishing you the best of luck finding her a loving new home.

Find out if you have a local herpetological society in your area, many of them will also run a reptile rescue and find homes for adoptable reptiles.
You can also advertise them here in this forum ---> http://ball-pythons.net/forums/forum...tion-or-Wanted
(but only in that forum otherwise your posts will be deleted and you'll get an infraction)

If you're on Facebook look for reptile groups in your state or even nearby states. You're more likely to find a better-informed owner there than if you put up an ad on Craigslist.
