Took pics of Caleb today since it was nice out and I had a little time in between all the stuff I am doing today.

    Thought I would share:

He's a looker! How'd he like it outside?

He seems to like it, but he gets to go outside daily, while the weather is good..then again, all my snakes do.

    Yep, its a BCI.

Steelsack- yes they are bold, thats no joke, but I too love it.

Caleb is just over 5 months old now, seems a bit small for his age, then again, the past owners did not have the right enviro. and I believe they were not telling the truth about how often he was really eating. Then again, I could be wrong about the size thing in relation to his age.

Very nice. As already said, he sure is a looker. I love boas.

And I wouldn't mind a bci for my first snake. But then I read up on how big they get, so I decided I'd do what many people seem to do. Start with a ball python, then work up to a boa after that. So hopefully early next year I should be ready for a sweet boa. I just hope I don't favour my boa over my ball, since bp's are more laid back, and boa's are out-going characters.

If size is a big concern, you could always get a Hogg Isle Boa or some other dwarf locality, which are becoming reasonably common nowadays and only get about 6'. Most are a bit nippier than Columbians when they're young though...
~40 Ball Pythons (mostly Freeway/Asphalt, Bongo, GHI, and Leopard combos)
3.8.3 Green Tree Pythons (mostly TM/TW blueline, a few Highland/Wamena)
    1.2 Children's Pythons
    1.2 Cay Caulker Boas
    1.2 Black Fuli House Snakes
1.0.4 Amazon Tree Boas (1x tiger, 3x halloween garden, 1x garden)

Yeah I'd love one of those, but I priced them. Aren't they a bit more expensive than columbians? Money isn't something I have a lot of often, so that's why I was going for columbians. Beautiful, and not too pricey. I'm gonna wait till this fall and maybe see what I can do. My breeder in Toronto where I got Pelota from..she specializes in all types of boas, and has some gravid females expected to give birth this fall. I'll have to price hers.
