    Stop using hide. ?

So, Nagini for the last month and a half, loved her cool side hide! Comes out at night and explores then cool side hide all day. Yesterday I made her a bigger hide using exactly the same material. Just taller so she could fit. She wanted nothing to do with it. So... I put her old one back in the same exact way and she hasnt gone in once! She is now hiding under her branch! Should I be concerned? She did eat today so I'm not so worried.

    Re: Stop using hide. ?

BP's tend to like tight fitting hides.
I wonder if the larger hide may have been too large for the snakes liking?
I've also noticed heavily planted enclosures seem to encourage some BP's to spend more time out of hides.

Hmmm I wonder if she will go back to the hides after a couple more days. Also sometimes if you introduce them to the hide like pick them up and let them slither inside they will start using them. I had to do that with two of my snakes since they never had hides in their racks before I bought them. Try introducing her to them again and see what happens

My guy didnt like it either when I initially tried to switxh hides.....I tried once and he got pretty defensive with me. Then I decided to just do complete clean and then changed them......no more issies and he has been using them since. Good luck.

I'm glad she settled for you but mine do the same thing! They HATE when I move things around or if I move their hides to take them out,I think they feel its not safe after and move behind their water bowl or under their substrate but they will go back later

Sometimes they just done like hides, Could i make 1 suggestion since the tank is white, gives it a look of more space, id suggest cluttering it up more! add more totems or statues or rocks or vines, Also some of the best hides you can get are Reptile basic black box's bcz the displaced hole. lets the snake be 100% in the dark without seeing out the hole...(if you choose to get that, be sure for 2 bcz they will favorite it and never go to other hide!)
