    Afraid of rats?

Do you think bp's can be afraid of rats? My BP has been fasting for 3months now and I know it's a 1200g fast but it continues to seem like she's afraid of the rat itself

My Male Spaz is afraid of everything. I have to leave f/t in his cage and he finally will eat it... either that or he's hiding them somewhere. But if it moves he hides.

Have you tried to offer f/t while your snake is still in its hide? I started doing this a couple of weeks ago and it's working really well. I just wave the rat at the doorway of the hideout and she comes out QUICKLY to investigate and strikes in seconds. She seems to ingest the rat quicker too. I don't turn any lights off or move anything around.

Yah she tends to hide or move away when it moves. I will definitely try leaving it in there and offering it when she's still in the hide

Shes not afraid, its simply shes not interested. Alot of BPs wont strike to kill they'd rather hide and strike when they are hungry. Shes around the 1000g mark where they like to fast for some, time then out of the blue she will eat like a champ again, just offer every week or even 2 until she takes, Some even offer mice and go back to rats (if they wernt hard to switch) but its most likely just a hunger strike, and shell be on track soon.
