    Re: My new arrival

Pyro shed the other day but not has gained any weight. My 48/48 shift sucks with any feed schedule so far.
However, Pyro has moved into his new home. It still needs some more decor and the outside needs some paint. Pyro did take a rat today with no trouble in his new home. He also has a neighbor upstairs as well.

Looks like the enclosure is the perfect height for your helper.

She did have help from a step stool to see in but I imagine it won't be too long until she does not need the stool.

    Re: My new arrival

Pyro has had at least 4 sheds since my last post. He stayed below 700g for a few of them then finally surpassed 700. His recent shed had him at 748.

I have been trying to give him 2 seemed rats to finish off what i have so I can order small rats. Pyro likes to hang out with his food for a while before he eats it unless he loses it. So this makes it a pain to feed 2 rats. I don't have many weened rats left and I think he will be back to gaining weight when I start with the small rats.

    Re: My new arrival

I cleaned pryo's enclosure since I realized I had not done so in a while. Pyro hung out on top and checked out some fire stations. Chicago fire was not to his liking, but L.A. fire was.

    Re: My new arrival

Pyro has not been eating for over a month now which is not like him. He refused another rat yesterday so I went and got a mouse. He ate that.... I have a freezer full of rats and he wants to go back to mice! "Your killing me Smalls"!

Of course mine is hypomelanistic, but other than that, same snake.

Awesome snake Fire! These guys are by far the most fun snake to take out and play around with that I have.

They can do that when the weather starts to turn colder. If you're wanting to keep him on rats, I'd advise not giving in and feeding mice. He will eat when he's ready.

    Re: My new arrival

I am back in school so that keeps me busy. Out I is getting close to be back to his weight when he stopped eating last summer. I have kept him on mice which brought back his appetite. I think I will keep him on mice til I get him a little above his pre food strike weight.
