    Opinions vary so much. Both have species which are ideally suited to the beginning snake keeper, so a lot of the question is, which species are you leaning towards? Is there one that the looks of particularly appeals to you? Is there one that is indigenous to your area that has a special draw because of that?

    What might be helpful is if you indicated which species of each you were most seriously considering, and then those with experience with those species could offer insights into them.

    Yeah, there are so many different types of kings and they are each different. However, I personally recommend cornsnakes and Mexican Black Kingsnakes as great beginner snakes.
    Ball Python, Bredl's Carpet Python, Kenyan Sand Boa, Saharan Sand Boa
    Mexican Black King, California King, Snow Corn, Okeetee Corn, Everglades Ratsnake
    Blue Tongued Skinks: Irian Jaya (2), Indonesian, Northern, Tanimbar, Eastern, Kei, Merauke
    Crested Gecko
