    Neat hide idea

Today I went to Walmart and the dollar store looking for kitty litter pans small enough for my young boys, but no luck. Everything was too big to go into a 28 qt tub. I was scouring each aisle of the dollar store and I found something I had never thought of: tortilla holders. I cut out an opening and used a lighter to melt the edges (I really need to buy a proper soldering tool but I keep forgetting whenever I'm at home depot). I was going to use some for water bowls, but when I got them home I realized they're a bit too big to keep two in one tub. Not like I won't use them eventually though.

Great idea, and perfect size too. I can only seem to find hides that are large enough for adults or small enough for babies...I haven't had much luck finding in-between sizes...

Oh cool, that is a good idea. I've still yet to find plastic/washable hides I like for my juvenile yet, so untill I do he is just using the cut down amazon boxes. Hoping to get something I like eventually.

Awesome!! I love these cheap and easy hide ideas. And the snakes could care less as long as it's secure and dark
Just as an afterthought, I find that sandpaper works really well to smooth edges of plastic. Just in case you don't want to go ut and buy all these tools and lighters!

I've been using those exact tortilla warmers for some of my snakes for years now and they work great. I use a circle saw on the top though. As long as you're careful when washing them they can definitely last!
