    Who owns a Herpstat 4?

I am looking into a Herpstat 4 and have a few questions.
1.) when I order it does it come with 4 probes or do you have to get them separate? It sounds like for sure the humidity probe does not come with it.
2.) I cannot find a user guide online, but it seems that this is fully automatic. It can be set to turn heat lamps, Che, misting systems on and off?
3.) from the image below I can tell there are 4 electrical and 4 probe plugs. There is an extra plug to the far left. What is that for? And what looks like a phone jack to the far right??
Thanks for any help! If you have a link to more information that would be great!!!

    I have 2

    1. Yes they come with 4 probes, no the humidity probe did not come with either of mine.

    2. Yes it can be set for whatever type of heat source you are using.

    3. Can't remember what the extra plugs are for... I'll check when I get home from work if someone hasn't chimed in already by then.

Phonejack was for past models to plug into a computer. I guess it's not available on new models.

I own 4 of these units as well and love them. As I understand it the 3.5mm input jack can be used for external switches like for instance you have a switch on a misting system if your reservoir runs dry. You can't however use it for any powered switches. The data jack says it's for "future use. My guess it was intended to be able to connect online to check or change settings however as far as I know at this time you can't do that yet?. I like the fact I can have one unit to control all aspects of my set ups from lighting to heat to humidity. I also like the fact that these units were designed that if they ever fail they have a fail safe , which means the device they control will turn off so there is no chance your animal will ever get burned. They also have build in alarms. They will not wash your dishes or clean the windows at this point but leave it to spyder robotics and I'm sure they will figure it out! Lol. I can't say enough good things about this product.

I have one and honestly, you don't need to read the manual for "normal" purposes... The menu is very easy to use and I was able to set the temperature mode (proportional) and temp on all four of my channels without any issues. This thing has worked great right out of the box.
