My Hog Island female is the same way. As long as it's not a feeding day, she's pretty chill, but as soon as she knows it's chow time she's on her game. After she finishes her rat, she coils like a spaz and tongue flicks. Occasionally she'll strike the tub. I don't worry about it too much, she just really likes her food. I just make sure once I feed her, I'm done, and I don't go back into her enclosure for anything else that day.

Boas are feeding machines. She's just still zero'd in on prey and wants more. This is one good reason we leave our boas alone after they've fed - at the very least until the next morning.

I have a five foot long female like that. If you walk by her enclosure for a few hours after she eats she strikes out. Cover her cage up so she can't see out if you don't want to risk her hurting herself on the glass.

snakes are opportunistic feeders no real hunger issues. most likely its just because its a central american boa and has a strong prey drive. pretty common thing in them. I have a pair of het T+, blood, and possible het type 2 anery that are pure evil. they would eat every time you walk past their tubs.
