Um, more with breeding experience should really respond, but I don't think the length of the snake matters, but they need to have reached sexual maturity. Do you have the male or the female? The Ball Python Manual says males should weigh at least about 650 grams, usually at 16-18 months of age. Females should exceed 1,000 grams, usually around 27-31 months of age.

Also, if you have a normal ball python and you mate it with an albino, you will not get any albino babies. You will get het albinos.

I suggest you really read up on breeding if that's what you want to do, it's pretty complicated.

I'm shooting for getting our females up in the 1500g range for breeding this season - they CAN breed a bit lighter but theres a much higher rate of efficacy if they are past 1500 - higher birth rate etc. And Gen is right on in that your chances of dropping an albino from that clutch are MIGHTY slim - breed lightweight and the clutch size will further cut into your already slim chances.

A het looks like a normal, but it carries the trait for albino. So if you got a het, raised it to sexual maturity then mated it with another het or albino, then you would get some albino babies.
