    Re: couple of my turts

I used to keep MANY turtles when I was younger. Pinkbelly sidenecks, African sidenecks, yellow mud, eastern mud, stinkpots, alligator and common snappers, eastern painted, RES, cooters, Florida and spiny soft shelled, and spotted turtles. I have no turtles now since I moved out of my moms and started breeding snakes five years ago. But I am always want to keep them again someday. The African sidenecks and the spotted turtles were my favorites.

    Re: couple of my turts

^^ that is a wonderous variety.

Used to be a turtle guy until I caught the snake bug. Now I'm a snake guy with an underlying love for shelled cuteness.

I had an African sideneck paired with my WA mud turtle. Took me years to find out what she was cause she was sold as a sideneck but had features of a box turtle that loved water. A friend of mine had a hybrid eastern box mixed with a southern painted(I think) which turned into a box turtle that loved to be underwater for hours on end. So I thought that's what my girl was until the gem of information fell into my lap of what she really was. When she looks out at me from under her underwater branch, I tilt my head a little and smile at the cuteness.

Thats from when I was maybe five years old catching local turtles until I was a teen. I had a lot of different reptiles at one point.

    Re: couple of my turts

Used to have to drive for what felt like forever to go fishing, but there were always frogs in the ally during the summer. I'd always catch one and keep it overnight and it would "magically" get out by morning.
