Are RTB's big soakers or water lovers?

Haven't posted in a while don't worry I still lurk when I can just been extra busy lately. My RTB Jay seems to love the water is this a common trait? Are Boas more closely related to Anaconda's than Pythons? By that I mean that Anaconda's spend most of their time in the water.

I have already done the mite check and found no evidence of anything so I was just curious if they tended to be more of a "Water" snake than say a Ball Python?

Anacondas are actually boa's .. the biggest boa. Its perfectly normal. When i was keeping Sprocket, she hardly ever left her waterbowl and was perfectly healthy. Homer was the occasionaly soaker, but definitely more often than any of my bp's. Some just seem to love being in the water. As long as you've done your mite checks, i think you boa just likes the water

Definetley takes a little getting used too compared to my Ball Python or my Kingsnake that passed. It's almost like he is a combination of the 2 very outgoing like a colubrid but at the same time calm and sweet like a Ball Python.

And I just noticed tonight his eyes greyed over so shortly he will be having his first shed
