    BP Getting chubby?

    Hey,

So my GF has a concern that our Spider ball is getting a little bit chubby than what is good for her. I've looked up a lot on the forum and found some people asking the same question, from 09 to 11 and found some good answers. I don't think our BP is getting fat but just to have some second opinions on if she is not as she is our first reptile [snake]

She was Born 1st week of August 2012
Got her when she was just under 1 year old and she was more on the skinny side (triangular)
She is living in a 40gal terrarium, 2 hides, perfect temps. 87-90 on the hot side W/ a heat mat under the tank below her warm wide, and 80 on the cool side with another hide.
Current length is about 2ft 10"
Current Weight is about 1000 grams. (weighed her the other day.)
She gets fed about 100gram rats (the size of her widest if not a tad bigger) every 5-7 days. Recently switched to frozen that last 2 feeds.
She almost never turns down a meal, except once she was not remotely interested. She eats rats currently but she will eat anything i can get her that cycle (I've tested it...Mice, african soft furs, and rats. She doesnt care t all)
She isn't lazy, comes out and roams around at night a lot and is taken out of her terrarium daily to roam about freely for the most part to get some exercise, explore and stretch out.

Ill include some recent pictures of her (past few days to help)
We plan on feeding her today or tomorrow (day 5 or 6) so if she is getting chubby i suppose we can get we a smaller rat or skip her meal?

    Re: BP Getting chubby?

I have some girls that size +/- 200 grams. A small rat every 7 days works fine for them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having camera for my snake I've setup the remote access video stream so I can monitor/observe/enjoy my display snake 24/7 from wherever
