last night at around 10 i decided to take my dog for a walk (which was stupid, i dont know what i was thinking) so anyways we are just walking down the street and then i see her sniffing something and all the sudden i hear the rattle snake hissing and everything right next to my foot !! i must have been like 6 inches away from its head and my dog was basicly standing on top of it, so i yanked the dog (and myslef) away pretty fast and then we went home and i called my parents becuase iknew they would be walking in the exact same spot and by the time i got into the house and called them on thier cell phone they were exactly where i just was only they had seen the snake a few feet away. The dog they had with them saw it and started barking. So i went out there and found them and my mom went and called animal control and a nice lady came out at 11 and got the snake, it was pretty big, about 5 feet long and boy was he pissy ! she had to pull it outta a cactus bush and put him in a bucket after he was in the bucket me and my dad got to get a nice look at him he was gorgeoas and pretty fat too. It was defintily one of my closest enounters with a rattler that night. It was really cool but really scary. I almost sh*t myslef when i saw it just a few inches from my leg.

She just put it in the bucket and said she would go out farther into the desert and release him, im glad they werent going to kill it. Im not sure what kind of rattlesnake it was but it had an almost diamond shaped pattern on it, but i dunno if it was a diamond back, im not sure if those live here. i dont know much about rattlers

I grew up around rattle snakes, so they are really no big deal to me, I just learned to stear clear of them and call animal control out to take care of them, I grew up in Az, all they do it relocate them there.
