    ok, i thought so.I looked them up on the internet but didnt find very much useful info . How long have you had it ? Do they really sleep for months at a time ?

    I don't know I've only had it for 3 days. According to it's original owner this guy is 10 yrs old.

    A friend of mine is looking into getitng a Russian tortoise within the next year.
    Any useful info you could spare?

    do they absolutely need to be kept outside in a pen or can you just keep them in a giant tank ? .Its cool that thye can eat all those plants, i have alot of those growing in my moms garden
