New to bp.net! Excited for first breeding season

    Just wanna introduce myself!
I've always loved ball pythons and always wanted to breed some cool combos. This is the first season I'm trying to produce. I didnt really do a cool down but I lowered my hotspots from 90 to 85 on oct 1st. I'm hoping I can just pair them and get some locks. I can cut off heat tape at night later in the season if they won't lock w out cool down. I put him in w big female yesterday. He hasnt locked yet though. He will get plenty of rest between females (only have 3)

My adult male is an awesome looking sterling around 700g. I'm putting him in w
    0.1 spider 1900g
    0.2 normals 2400g, 2600g
If anyone has any advice or words of encouragement I'm all for it : )

I also have these 2013 hatchlings
    1. Banana het hypo (sweet!)
    1. Champagne
    0.2 yellowbellies
    0.1 fire
    0.1 butter
    0.1 normal

    Mike,

Best piece of advice is to be patient and enjoy. My buddy just started breeding this season and was getting a bit discouraged when I had 6 clutches in the incubator and he didn't have any. I told him to be patient and he ended up getting his first 2 clutches on the same day. This is a great site for advice. I learned a lot here and on youtube. Looks like you have a great start and future line up ahead. Good luck and keep us informed on your progress.

P.S. Every once in while, you may not catch the locks. I have an Albino ninja that I paired with 2 females and never saw a lock. I wound up with 2 great clutches from the sneaky little guy.

Thanks a lot! This will definitely teach me patience. I can't figure out how to post pics otherwise I would have.
