This is Helios posing for the camera. He is about 4" from nose to vent now and is doing much better since i starting bringing him outside.

Maybe there should be a Chameleon Category here in the lizard forum?

Wow he is beautiful.
I actually was planning on getting one, but I want to wait till I move first.

He is still a baby. I cant wait till his colors come through his Father is a Sunburst morph and his mother was a het.
He should look like this when fully adult. He gets some purple and some yellow in him sometimes but he is mostly green. My nephew got a Het Female so we plan on breeding them when they are older.

These guys are easy to keep you just got to have all the right stuff.

i love him! i almost got one when i was at a reptile show recently. i probably will get one some time in the future once i have more room. i can't wait to see him when all of his colors come out.

I really like him he is so cute chameleons look so exotic, are they hard to care for ?

IMO They are not too hard to care fore just as long as you do your research and get them everything they need. Veiled chameleons are tough they can stand temps as low as 50* and as hot as 120*. They are native to Yemen and Saudi Arabia along the Persian Gulf Coastal regions which is why they can tolerate very cold temps that would be bad for other reptiles. The males are bigger and more colorful but even the females have nice coloring.

The thing you have to provide is UVB lighting so they can make vitamine D3 and absorb calcium. I took him to the vet for a check up and the vet said that he is not getting enough UVB light. He prescribed that i put him outside during the day so he can get some natural unobstructed daylight and he has improved greatly. They are a challenge but if you have kept other reptiles before then it should not be too hard.

I can't wait to get those Babies. They will be so cute.
