What should he be eating on 100.7gs?

I got him 3 weeks ago. They said a fuzzy every 2 weeks. I learned right away that two weeks wasn't good for a youngling, so I gave it another fuzzy last thursday, a week later. Now I'm not so sure about the size of the prey. Help?

If you are going to keep in mice I would be at small mice every 4 to 5 days, I offer mine every 3 days.
I would try a larger rat pinky if you want to switch over.

Are you feeding live or f/t?

Will do next feeding. Is it ok, to try after 5 days after last feeding, then maybe every 5 days for a couple weeks before going back to a weekly sched to catch him up? I want him to be healthy, but not going for world record size.

I'm feeding every 5 days until they hit 300 grams. My 90 gram ones are on small adult mice, with ease barely a lump

At 108 grams my guy was eating medium/lrg medium adult mice.. Also feeding him every 4-5 days

Also so go by the thickest part of his body for prey size even a little thicker is fine..

Feeding them ever 4-5 days u will be amazed how fast they grow..my guys us rowing and growing and getting hungrier and hungrier.

Re: What should he be eating on 100.7gs?

At 100 grams I would expect the snake to be taking a large hopper mouse or a medium sized fuzzy rat every 5-7 days.
Since you say that you think the snake is on the thin side I would go with every 5 days.

Generally speaking for BP's 10-15% of the animals body weight every 5-7 days is fine for juvenile animals with the feeding cycle getting longer as the animal matures (I try for every 7 days some people prefer 10 for adults, I think your available prey item size factors in to this)

Also, can you post a photo of your snake so we can check just how skinny he or she is?

For me that was around the weight that I went from rat fuzzies to rat pups. She is just over 200g now and I'm thinking about moving her up to smaller weaned rats. I'd personally feed him 10-15% of his weight every 4-5 days. If you are feeding mice then I guess that's a larger mouse hopper or smaller weaned mouse.

If you can switch to rats do so, it'll be easier to just feed him one rat when he gets bigger than multiple mice per feed. The earlier you make the switch, the easier they usually transition, assuming they are already feeding well.
