    Skunks!!

I recently heard of someone raising skunks, but I don't have a direct connection with them to ask any questions. Although I probably would never end up raising a skunk, the idea intrigues me! Does or has anyone ever raised skunks? I can think of a ton of questions to ask!! They are very cool animals!

I personally don't keep skunks and I'm not that knowledgeable, but I would love one someday.
However, it is illegal in some states to keep domesticated skunks.
Domesticated skunks can be descented and come in a plethora of mutation colors.
My favorite color is the champagne and apricot. Some of the dark eyed whites are very pretty too.

    Skunks!!

At the pet store I work at we get baby skunks in every year! This year we got three. An apricot, a chocolate, and a black. This photo was from when they first came in.

We still have the black one. He is about 6 months old and 10 pounds now.

    Skunks!!

I get to cuddle with him several times a week! It will be a sad day when he leaves. We love him.

I might have to check out the laws in NY. Although I'm nowhere near NYC, I know local wildlife is off limits. Not sure what the domesticated skunk laws are. I may just stick to staring at the two out my window digging up my front lawn for grubs. But they are so dang cute!

That sucks! Here in Michigan you just need a permit and it's just a formality. They give them to everyone and anyone. I want one, too and know a breeder. My dachshund would never leave it alone and drive me crazy, though, LOL! I can't have a cat for the same reason.
