My ball isnt at sexual maturity now, only about a year and a bit old, but im just wondering how hard it is to breed them, becuase this will be something that I will become intrested in, in the near future. Is there much involved? or am i just wasting my time thinking about it?

Ball pythons are easily bred in captivity. I have not tried it yet but everyone here says that its all a matter of providing the right conditions. Assuming you have a male and a female they would breed without any problems.
    Thanks,

From what I've read, folks usually shoot for Novemberish or so as the start of the breeding season with no feeding occuring at the target period for copulation. This is where having maintained a light cycle comes in handy in that the day period is knocked back to about 8 hours and mean temperatures dropped so that low night temp is about 73-75. The breeding hopefuls are introduced usually about a month after cycling has started. I have read varying accounts and opinions on the timing of introduction - would be nice to hear someone who has actually done it - as we should be ready this winter.

House seperately - only introduce during the breeding period and when it's over move them back to their own seperate enclosures.
