ok, well, my mom told me i could get a red tail boa just like that for my birthday, a lil weird, since my momma hates snakes, but i didnt question her

and she doesnt want to be spending a lot of money, and i have two 10 gallon tanks.....empty.

and i will be getting a baby.

and if i make the two ten gallons, into one tank, thatd be a 20 gallon....right?

so, would a 20 gallon tank work for a baby rtb for at least a while?

    thanks!!

(p.s. my birthday is the 22)

i would say for a baby yes. My firend is housing a 6 month old columbian red tailed boa in a 33 gal and its more than enough room. Id say go for it to save some money first, then in a few months when you notice him getting bigger upgrade.

    take the two ten gallons

    take a glass cutter

take one ten gallon, on the short side, use the galss cutter to cut that side off

do the same for the other ten gallon

take either caulk or 100% sillicon, i heard sillicon is better, but caulk works too

and then put either the caulk or sullicon, on the edge of the tank you cut, then place them together, and if the stuff kinda oozes everywhere, making like bubble type things, i guess you could wipe it so it is cleaner

then wait at least 48 hours, or else the fumes will annoy your snake

and as for the sterdiness of it, it might be a lil weak, so i wold suggest placing some sort of board under it

but i might just end up buying a 20 gallon long, and use that for about a year, so i can save up and upgrade
