Temperature for soaking?
Well I haven't gotten any replies to my last thread, and I couldn't find this mentioned in the bad shed sticky... what temperature should the water be for soaking my ball to help finish his bad shed off? It just says tepid water...

Re: Temperature for soaking?
Mid 80's is good, but water temperature drops pretty quickly so I always continue to check the temperature and change out more warm water.

If it feels warm to you, it's probably too hot.
Don't soak the snake anyway, it's much lower stress to put them in a tub or box with a towel that has been soaked and rung out using warmish water and let the snake rub on the towel.

Well its been about a week since I discovered he had shed, after several soak/wet towel attempts, he still has at least one noticeable piece of shed left on his back that doesn't seem to want to loosen up. Should I be worried, or try to carefully remove it myself?

Think you could give me that link to the bad shed sticky? I couldn't find it.

Re: Temperature for soaking?
If its just a few pieces and not constricting your snake, just leave it alone. Boost up your humidity during his next shed and everything should shed off.
