I was wondering if it is worth it to go see this "documentary."

I'm pretty leftish on most issues and I don't like Bush or anything he's done; but then again I don't like propaghanda from EITHER side of the political spectrum and I just wanted to know if it was really as biased and one-sided as some of the papers around said it is (i'm in va- papers are all conservative, so I'm taking that with a grain of salt).

I just think its unfortunate that we'll never get the real scoop on what happened before, during, and after 9/11. At least not in our lifetime.

I think that in hindsight that we have the benefit to say well this should have been done and that should have been done. I don't think there was anything we could have done to prevent 9/11. And they had the comittee and all they can do is try to blame eachother. Honestly if Bush knew the exacts of when and where do yo think he would have just let it happen? I didn't pay to see the movie but i sure did download it. And it seems like a film with an agenda.
    Thanks,

LOL. Of course the film has an agenda. That's Michael Moore's MO. And with a title like "Fahrenheit 9/11," could there really be any doubt? "Bowling for Columbine" and "Roger and Me" had agendas too. Michael Moore has made it his mission to bring to the public issues he believes we should be aware of and angry about. Whether we love him or hate him, agree with him or disagree with him, he's going to keep doing what he's doing, and I have to applaud him for that.

Incidentally, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I plan to this week. It opened here on Friday.

    I couldn't agree more.
I have not seen the film either.

I'm typically kind of liberal on most issues, by no means hardcore liberal. I'd never waste my money on a Michael Moore film tho. I saw Bowling for Columbine. All he did was say "The music they listened to didn't cause them to shoot up their school, nor did the video games they used as training." (no of course not, that had nothing to do with it!) Then he went on to do more finger pointing. He blamed Lockheed Martin cause they make missiles.

His documentaries have an agenda. I remember reading about all the twisted truths and other distorted facts he used for BFC, so Farenheit 9/11 shouldn't be too different.

I saw Farenheit 9/11 about two weeks ago, and didn't really enjoy it at all. It's pretty obvious how he has edited comments by Bush etc to make them say what he wants them too. I saw Bowling for Columbine and thought it was a MUCH better documentary. If I could go back in time I wouldn't pay to see Farenheit and wouldn't recommend anyone else pay to see it either. Wait and rent it, it's not like it has any big action scenes or sounds that you need to go to the theater for anyway.

    Exactly.
He is worse then the media in that sense.
My wifes aunt and uncle were on Opera once. They were having a bit of some martial problems. Anyway, Opera made it seem way worse then it was by editing things out, and doing a couple fake scenes. And this was Opera. She didnt have much of an agenda. I can only imagine what Michael Moore has come up with this time...

Met him once when I was a waiter at Grand Canyon. He sat at one of my tables so I waited on him and his family. Nice guy.

Just a quick reminder, let's not stray into that easily-found territory of political wars. I'm not accusing anyone, but anytime you have Moore and Bush mentioned in the same thread, it's a definite possibility.
