    baby spider ball python question

Hey everyone I'm at work so can't post a pic of it. But I bought a baby spider ball python that didn't have its first shed yet, but it did 2 days ago (only reason I bought it this way is because it was $60)

My question, is is it normal for them to not eat right after shedding? There is a small live pinky in its bin right now so I'll see if its eaten it once I get home.

    Thanks.

Hmm... Typically most breeders don't sell any of their livestock until they have had their first shed and are well started on feeding (have had at least 3 meals), us included. That being said we strongly advise against purchasing baby balls straight from the egg.

Is it normal for them to not eat right after shedding, Yes. I'm sure your little Spider is pretty stressed doing all that moving and shuffling before she has been given time to establish herself. Getting hatchlings on a feeding routine can take some effort...

Lots of snakes, a bunch of horses and an array of other animals small and large!
