Here's daddy, known fondly as the "Golden Child"

And some of his kids, which are in the process of hatching today

Needless to say, we were extremely surprised to see that a good number of the babies look like their father. Now comes the hard part of waiting 3 years to see if there's a "Super Golden."

Wow that is just gorgeous O_O And usually I don't like how retics look, they look EBIL to me ^_^ And man, I knew retics could grow to be the longest snakes in the world, but sheesh, that baby is HUGE O_O

That has to be one of the most stunning Retics I have seen since the pics of the "bateater"
(Wasnt the bateater a Burm/Retic cross though?)
Look, sometimes bad things happen, and there is nothing you can do about it, so why worry?

Nice! They kinda remind me of liasis!

Yeah, borneos were hybrids. I think they were bred back to retic tho.

To top it off, the Golden Child is a small snake - only around 8' long or so. The eggs that the babies are hatching out of aren't much bigger than ball python eggs, and we're awaiting locality information from our importer to find out if this just may be another form of dwarf retic.

Do you know the age on the father? Have a pic of the mother? Is she a standard size or dwarf? Good luck on this being a new morph.
