    I caught a bug...

    Hello All,

My name is Spencer, and I'm a ball-aholic. I'm long-winded (or written), so there you have it.

I have had reptiles since I was in my early teens. A while back I purchased my first ball python, a female pastel named Maya.

That got the "ball" rolling, so to speak. I caught the bug, and am now a proud ball python addict. Leopard geckos and corn snakes? Pfft. After ball python #4, it became apparent to me that it would be difficult to find room for more 30 gallon aquariums.

Alright, I'll admit that I've had passing hobbies in the past, "but this is different" I told my wife as I bought another ball. I had found the perfect all around pet. It took some time, but she finally became convinced that I was serious. Once I had created a 3 year business plan and gotten the "okay' from my wife, I purchased a rack system and installed heat tape and my lovely Herpstat 2 Redline.

Once my wife's tolerance developed into interest, Mountain West Reptiles was born. We've been adding some new females that we plan on breeding in a year or two. Although local interest has been great, we plan to create a website in 2014 or 2015 and begin selling online.

Now today, here I am, finally taking the plunge and signing up for a forum. (I generally am not a social media fan). We have some nice projects that we're working on, so look forward to some new morphs in the next few years.

I look forward to meeting some of you, learning from you, and fueling my passion for BPs!
