    Beautiful dogs!

Mine are Australian, so I can't contribute. xD But! My mother and Grandmother have a house filled with German breeds. My mother has a Rottweiler, a Great Dane and a Standard Poodle. And my Grandmother has a small army of four Dachshunds. ;D The smallest of the Weiners is by far the most vicious. The least likely to bite...or bark...or get up and do anything...is the Rottie.

I recently purchased a new lens and only just got to test it out. Of course I chose my favorite subject for the job! Apologies in advance for the photo dump, I originally edited and uploaded 50 - 60 of them.

Wow gorgeous pictures! I LOVE the pic with him in the grass looking at you with a few blades/foxtails in front of him. So pretty!

Thank you! I really like those types of shots, too, and love taking pictures in the long grass for that reason

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I ended up caving and getting the Nikon 85mm f/1.8 lens. Probably a little unnecessary because I already have the 50mm f/1.8, but I actually noticed quite an improvement in quality and speed. The images just come out cleaner in general, and the backgrounds are smooth and the bokeh looks nice. I am a huge fan of it already; the lens certainly lives up to all that hype!

Some of you have already seen these pictures in my Red Dobie Puppy thread, but sharing some for the German Dog thread.
Our Red Doberman Puppy, Aria, who is currently 7 months old. We got her at 8 weeks. She's a full blooded sister to my older Doberman girl.

Photos of when we first got her at 8 weeks of age.

Right after her ear crop at 2 months of age.

    This was her first posting:

6 days after her first posting and ears and standing already!

Oh wow, she grew up VERY nicely. She also has a very nice crop job - and I'm really picky about cropped ears on a Doberman. If I remember correctly, she's working bred?
