I never see Danes with them anymore other than in shows.
    Very handsome boy.

Thank you! For the most part, he was out of tapes by 7 months, although we did use breathe-rite strips on the tips for another 3-4 months or so. I love the chiseled look that cropping gives...even if he wasn't a show dog, the months of taping would've been worthwhile.

Well. The Germans do produce very nice quality stuff.
And so cool that Chance is Bi-eyed!

Yes they do produce nice stuff. I actually thought he was weird looking when I got him but he was the only one who came up to me so I guess he chose me...

Really great photos!! Any chance you know the name/breeding of the first GSD, the Riesenschnauzer, and/or the second GSD (first GSD doing bitework)? Really like the grip on that dog in the photo. First GSD just looks a little familiar to me for some reason, but I wouldn't know why.

Saw my first Riesenschnauzer in action in September and was very impressed. I've always been interested in the breed and really would like to see more of them around! Adding some of my own pictures, hope no one minds! None of the dogs are mine (will post pictures of my own GSD later).

    Riesenschnauzer

    Rottweiler

And my favorite from the day...

    German Shepherd Dog

Thanks! Your pictures are pretty awesome too! Feel free to post any German breed anytime! It's an appreciation thread.

I actually don't remember who the first GSD is, but I *think* it's Fax von der Pflaz. The Schnauzer was a visiting dog so I don't know it's name, but I've heard it recently died. The second GSD is Jake von der Pflaz.

Thanks for the names and link, really appreciate it!! I really like the looks of the von der Pfalz dogs.

Very sad to hear about the Schnauzer, thanks for letting me know. Wondered briefly if it could have been the same dog that I saw last month but didn't think so anyway. They are really great dogs - I hope I have the opportunity to meet more of them off the field and see how they are as family pets/companions.

Here are some pictures of my own 4 1/2 year old GSD.

Thank you very much!! First picture was taken with a D90, the others were with the D7000. I used my 50mm f/1.8 for all of them
