She might just be another browned out pastel...but she's MY browned out Pastel.

After being attacked by her dinner, Marcelene just shed for me. Here she is, shed this morning, at 1639 grams. Please ignore fresh scars... I'm seriously never feeding live again. (And before I get jumped on, yes, I was supervising, no, there was no time to shove a pencil in the rat's mouth.)

She's beautiful to me...<3 I love my mama snake.

I love how in the last picture you didn't get her tongue, but a shadow of it. She is a nice snake. And I didn't see any scars.....

Thank you! She really does have several scars up and down her body. The rat was so quick. I've never been one to freak out much about that sort of thing, but she is my favorite, and now she's got these little marks that caused her quite a bit of pain up and down her body. She's been through SO much these past months with abscesses and early RI, and then a shot every other day for a month...that rat biting HER out of all my snakes just made me so mad. After he bit her, she ate him and then regurged from stress. She didn't deserve that.

Awe Anya, it'll be okay. You take very good care of your animals and the scars will go away. I hate seeing them on my 3 RBS because they're all WC. So I hope soon they get rid of them after a few sheds.

Also who cares what anybody else thinks of anything, as long as what you have makes you happy, that's all that matters. She's gorgeous btw.

Poor girl...sounds like she's had a rough time lately but I'm sure she'll heal up just fine. And browned out or not, she's a goog looking girl imo.

Those scars don't look bad at all! Nice and pink, the way we like them! It's a sign of healing. I feed live and I get the occasional bite (I also supervise) but I know it happens and there's only so much we can do as snake parents.

She looks good regardless! Love that picture of her eye.

Thank you, guys! I'm hoping in a few months she'll be healthy enough for me to be comfortable breeding her again. She's given me some beautiful babies in the past. ^_^

I am slightly thinking she might be preggers from retained sperm, though. She jumped from 1400 last month to 1600 this month, and the only thing I've done is feed her small to medium rats. I'm pretty sure she's empty, too. Thoughts? Is that normal weight gain? I've only recently started paying close attention to weights.

She is super pretty! I'm not sure about the retained speed thing, but that would be sweet!
