My dog just noticed he's not the only pet in the house...

So last weekend I adopted a very sweet, mild mannered bearded dragon. Named him Dracarys (couldn't help it...) and he's adjusting to his new home as best he can. Now, my dog, Tank, will not leave Dracarys alone (who stays in his tank, but every time he moves Tank is running over and making doggie noises that I'm sure are "Get that thing out of there and put him on the floor I want to play with him!!"). I have geckos and a ball python too, but since they aren't extremely active (at least not during the day when Tank is awake to see them) he never really gave them any notice.

I know mostly it will take time, but I was wondering if anyone had the same issues with introducing new pets (like small ones to dogs) and if there were any tips or tricks you found that helped the situation.

lol, I adopted a sweet little beardie last week, too! Tiss the season, I guess.

No tips, but I'm having the same issue with my dog, too. I give her a (light, not hard or painful) slap on the rump to get her attention, then carry her out of the room, and close the door. She can always come back once she's calmed down, but if the same thing happens, I carry her out again. I think it's just a novelty to her, now. Slowly but surely they're spending more time in the same room without her obsessing. I think it'll take a few month to have no obsessing, though. "LOOK MOM OMG A LIZARD I LOVE LIZARDS"
