Normals are pretty awesome (PART II)

I am picking up a 2002 and a 2006 proven breeder Normal girls from Raul at West Coast Jungle, and figured instead of resurrecting a crazy long thread, maybe we start anew.

So post up some pics and please discuss WHY you are using that normal (if you are breeding it). it is really interesting to see what folks are looking for to improve a project, even with Normals. I look at Normals as great tools for line breeding a morph, not to just pump out numbers.

    Here they are:

2002 light colored Normal - will likely go to my Fire YB to further improve that line. She will hopefully lighten it even more and maybe add more blushing while keeping it super clean.

A 2006 perfectly clean Reduced Pattern Normal girl - she will likely be used to make super clean Enchis, but she also may go in to the Epic Mojo+ project to further reduce pattern there.

This is probably my most exciting normal -to me at least. She's part of my "orange thing" project, I'm calling her a het orange for now.

One female I attempted to breed this last year but didn't have any luck. I want to try and make some reduced patterned morphs.

Her "sister" they were surrenders and I took them in, I wanted her for the same reason. She locked many times, but no signs of eggs this year :-/ I really hope the stripe and the reduced pattern on them are genetic!!!

And mom and "orange thing" son. He could be a normal, for now I'm not sure.

Re: Normals are pretty awesome (PART II)

Her is my 2005 virgin normal, Tabitha (she's "due" to lay in roughly 45ish days...she just ovulated). She was bred to a black pastel and lesser this season. Her original owner paired her to a black pastel because of her rich chocolate color in the hopes to darken her black pastels. However, I paired her with a lesser as well because I hope her semi-reduced pattern will clean up the pattern on my lessers. Next season, I plan on breeding her to a lemonblast for some hopefully semi-reduced pins. Once I get some dark-morph males, she will go to them.

Next is my early (January) 2012 normal girl, Fluffy. I'm hoping she'll be ready to go this fall (she's roughly 900g and still pounding food). I have plans to pair her with my lesser to help clean up his pattern. Also, if I ever get any male enchis, they will go to her. She's a nice, bright normal with some banding and a reduced pattern.

    normal het hypo

This is the mom of my fire het hypo girl Candy. She'll be coming to Maine to produce some super clean and colorful hypo animals after she lays.

    2012 normal girl

I love how clean her pattern is (she has four dots on her), so hopefully that'll pass on to her offspring. Right now, I have her set aside for enchi stuff, but that could change.

    2013 normal girl

I'd like to use this girl to refine my enchi projects. I'm interested to see her color after her second shed, but it's really nice after her first shed and a few meals (seen here). Her mom is a reduced, banded normal girl and it certainly looks to me like she passed that on to her daughter.

A few Normal girls I picked up a few months back with strict intentions of pairing my Banana to this coming season.

1350g on arrival and still pounding food:

800g on arrival and pushing 1000g now. Not quite as reduced as the first, but I think she is a fine specimen:
