Simple question that may have already been answered.

So I go to the pet store, ask for a feeder mouse, he's a male. Orange and white. I've heard that color coat matters in making good feeder mice. These are for my pythons so I wanna make sure. Never bread mice before. So anyways if I get regular female white feeder mice. And breed them with the orange and white. Is that cool?

'sometimes' (actually rather rarely in my experience) the color of the mouse will matter. That's why some of the rodent suppliers are now selling white mice or dark colored mice. but for the most part, you snake isn't really going to care what color it's food is.

If you want to try your hand at breeding mice, that one sounds as good as any. Give it a try, you might like it. A group of mice can smell pretty strong though.

I started with all white mice, and then somewhere I wound up getting some colors
I do not have any snakes that the color matters too.
As far a breeding goes, I keep 5 groups of 2.6 and they really don't breed for me on a regular basis.
I will tell you that those 5 GROUPS (40 mice) stink more than my 125 breeding rats (that doesn't include the growers and feeders also)
