    Exclamation Corn Snake Injury. Help?!?

My snake was badly cut by my cat (wound is one inch long and a quarter inch wide wide with pink flesh exposed, not bleeding, upper quarter of back.). I put antibiotic ointment on him. Will he be okay???

Normal triple antibiotic ointment. I put him back into his enclosure and he burrowed into his bedding quickly.

    Exclamation Corn Snake Injury. Help?!?

My snake was badly cut by my cat (wound is one inch long and a quarter inch wide wide with pink flesh exposed, not bleeding, upper quarter of his back), he is fully grown and a big dude. I put normal triple antibiotic ointment on him and placed him back into his enclosure, where he quickly burrowed into his bedding. He is the first snake I ever had and I am very concerned for him after seeing the cut and the flesh the separated "skin" exposed. I cant get him to a vet, what do I do, and more importantly, will he survive????????

I can certainly try. Ill have to pull him out from under his bedding (which has probably stuck to the ointment though).

There is the wound on the neck. It looks a little rigid due to the ointment, but otherwise is perfectly smooth.
