Eye dent while in shed?

Just over a month ago I made a thread here about a dent in Amber's eye, and she was in shed. This dent went away within hours and she shed that night. No dent after that.

Well here we go again, I checked on her this morning and low and beyhold, a dent on her right eye again. She's been in shed, her eyes cleared up yesterday and you can clearly see the eyecaps just waiting to come off.

I'm thinking that Amber must, by habit, rub the side of her head on things when she's in her shed cycle. She's NOT dehydrated and my humidity rarely drops beneath 60%. I catch her drinking all the time, she even drank some last night while I was giving her a soak.

I guess this may not be a problem but its still something I don't like to see. Anyone have any other ideas as to why this is happening?

as far as i read, eyecaps denting while in shed is a fairly common thing. you could be right when saying its from her rubbing her heasd against things. dont really know of a way ytou can stop it though

Appearantly everything is perfect. I got a complete 1 piece shed from nose to tail last night. It was actually kinda rolled up like condom, I just rolled it out and ta da!

The eye dent thing happens to Sophie as well, before and/or after a shed. I was led to believe that it could be related to humidity....usually goes away in a few hours though, just like you said....it does bother me when it happens though, reminds me of a dented ping pong ball!

I think its the old eye cap getting stuck to the new eye cap. As they shed the new eye caps seperate from the old ones. I agree that her rubbing on things is just pushing in the old eye cap. If its pretty regular i wouldn't wory about it too much just make sure all your variables are correct and she should have no problems. And since she has had complete sheds every time shows everything is going good.
