I think he is pretty cute.
He will be very demanding but, as long as your willing to invest all the time and money he will need to stay happy, I think you will be a good keeper.

I'm guessing 5 ft. would be a BIG dwarf Caiman. In this species the male is larger than female (unlike most snakes) and males are said to reach about four and a half feet.
