Holy cow, Can you really keep a Green Anaconda as a pet? It seems to me like thye would be far to big for that, or am I mistaken?

yup, apperentily you can. However they dont get AS big CB......my friend was going to buy one istead of his red tailed boa. Go to your loacal pet and ask to see the snake order/stock form and you bound to see a green anaconda there. Suprisingly they are not too expensive as far as exotic snakes go

This is ABSOLUTELY untrue - Anacondas can & do grow quite large in captivity. Please don't be fooled into thinking they won't grow to large proportions simply by being captive bred.
Anacondas can be unpredictable snakes with strict husbandry requirements that are usually best left to experienced keepers. If you don't have quite a bit of experience from keeping several other beginner/intermediate level species, anacondas are a poor choice.
Here are a couple of care sheets on them:

Just wanted to clear that up!

Dude.... That's almost like comparing bp's to corn snakes. Sure a corn will typically get longer then a bp. But a bp weighs 5 times as much. Thats exactly like comparing a retic to a green conda.
I would never advise anyone buy a female green conda. But a male would be fine. Just as long as the cage is setup right.
