Bargain alert

I don't know if this applies elsewhere, but just in case it does, I thought I'd let you know that Petco (mine, anyway) is clearing out their ZooMed 500R thermostats for $9.98, one-fourth of the usual in-store price. I bought the last two here, but maybe some of you can get this good deal too.

Are those the ones that don't take grounded (one side bigger than the other - not three-prong) plugs? I cant remember the model number but Smynx ordered a couple and it turned out she couldn't plug anything useful into them =\ If not I will be on that like stank on stank.

I called home and got Adrian to check for me, and they do take polarized plugs (one side longer than the other) but not grounded (3-pronged). Also, the unit itself has a polarized plug. HTH!

Cool - I need to get the model number from her on the less than useful ones we wound up with and maybe post a review.

Definitely a good idea. I was psyched to see these for under $10 and couldn't see through the package what kind of plugs they took, but was willing to make the gamble for that price.
