    I wouldn't count on it. It looks like scale discoloration, probably from a disease. It also looks like it is missing some scales too.

    What got me is that it extends onto his fin, which makes me think its some kind of birthmark.

    Infection, imo.

    There are "pied" colors in bettas, normally called "marble" and in some cases "piedbald" although some fancies will term all of them marbles. These are white and color splotches, with white faces and the coloring goes onto fins and body both.

    That however looks like what most have said, an injury or fungus or infection.

    Yea something looks wrong with him, not ich but maybe some kind of scale rot or something

    "pied" betta dont look like that
