Every bit as formal, factual and organized as a textbook without the expected "dry read" actual textbooks come with standard. It would be very difficult to search for glaring errors in this text other than maybe the occasional taxonomic differences (from classification changes since the publish date).

Very nice info on primitive vs advanced snakes.

The pictures are really gorgeous and almost all taken in the wild.

The pictures and first hand accounts are fiarly biased to S.America and of the constrictors leans much more towards boas (as per author's specialty/place of study). And no bloods That is about as negative a point as I can find with this.
