    Incubator

    Hi everyone,

    I maybe purchasing a gravid female from a friend who may pop anytime. Which incubator on the market is the best for a low price? Must have a thermostat or? Any extra information would be great.

    yes, you absolutely NEED a thermostat for an incubator. that'll probably be the most expensive part. if you're short on cash and you only have one clutch, buy you a good thermostat and make a makeshift incubator out of some flexwatt heat tape and a styrofoam cooler. theres tutorials for them all over this site if you search for it.

    Which thermostat is recommended? Some day down the road I may breed but this one I maybe picking up wasn't planned.

    Incubator

    Herpstat is the way to go for a T-stat, as far as incubators, I have made a cheap DIY one for 20-30 dollars using a styrofoam cooler, water bottles and flex watt heat tape. Here is a link...

    I suggest making your own. It will cost a fortune to buy an incubator with the same quality that you can make yourself. Find an old fridge or cool and turn it into an incubator with some flexwatt and a thermostat. There are tons of DIY incubators in the DIY section.
