    New arrival: Black Pastel male

I'm so excited, my new little male Black Pastel arrived from Alfredo at Tri Reptiles this morning. The packaging/shipping went smoothly and he did a really great job! I was so nervous, this was the first time I've purchased an animal online and had it shipped to me. I definitely plan to go give him a good guy mention over on the BOI, but I also wanted to share here my unboxing video and the few pics I took before I let him settle into his QT tub. I've decided to name him Osiris. Major apologies for the video, I sound like a real dork because I was so nervous, lol. Anyway, I'm super excited to have this guy and plan to pair him up with my female Pastel in the future to try to get some Black Pewters and with my female Spider to get some Black Bees. So here's the vid and a few pics.

Interesting packing job. So he was just chilling in that huge bag with shredded newspaper? I mean, he made it fine and i guess theres nothing wrong with it, just not exactly how ive usually seen it done.

Hes pretty, good luck making pewters and bees with him!

No, actually there were a few wadded up paper towels in with the shredded paper. He had tons of padding. I don't know why he was in such a huge bag, might have been the only size that Alfredo had to ship with, I dunno. Either way, when I pulled him up out of the box, I could tell that he was packed well in there, but still had enough room to move away from or toward the heat pack as needed. The heat pack was still nice and warm. Thanks for the compliments on him, I'm really super excited to have him!

Thanks! I felt like a dork and didn't know what to say, lol. I just wanted to have the unboxing on tape just in case anything was wrong.

He looks great! Interesting packing job, but not bad! Its such a relief to have a shipment go smoothly. I always get a little worried that something will happen to them in transit.

I thought the packing job was strange too. The reason for putting them in a small bag is so they don't get knocked around the whole box. Even if that's the only size bag he has he could have tied it much smaller and put the newspaper around the bag. The snake showed up alright, that's the main thing, but I wouldn't advise following his lead if you ever ship.

    Your boy is really pretty!

Thanks so much, everyone! I really appreciate the comments and compliments. I, too, am really glad he made it. I was so so so nervous, since I'd never bought a snake online before. I also have a pair of het Axanthics that will be coming eventually from Firestorm. I'll do another unboxing video and hopefully this time I won't sound like such a dork, lol!
